He said, “Without Fran’s guidance and leadership, the chamber would not be what it is today. I know I wouldn’t be.

SCBWA WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The Sanibel Captiva Women’s Business Association recently welcomed Kelly Huguenin and Kerri Maw as new board members.

Huguenin moved to Sanibel full time in 2016 and started with the Pfeifer Realty Group. A real estate agent, she is a member of the Fort Myers Association of Realtors and the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors. Huguenin is currently a member of the SCIAR board of directors and is involved in several SCIAR committees.

She previously worked in the mortgage department at SunTrust, which turned into a 24-year career. Huguenin started as a receptionist, progressed to a mortgage processing position and also held construction manager and mortgage agent positions. She was named Rookie of the Year by the Mortgage Bankers Association and SunTrust. Huguenin has been recognized as a Top Producer and was a member of SunTrust’s President’s Club of Top Producers.

She attended Covenant College and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Also a realtor with Pfeifer Realty Group, Maw began visiting Sanibel in 1998 and moved to the island in 2003. She is originally from Mendham, New Jersey.

Maw began working with American Express in the corporate travel department, onsite at Warner Lambert Pharmaceuticals. In 1992, she transferred to Sandoz Pharmaceuticals to assist corporate groups and over time began assisting Sandoz Meeting Planner with various types of large gathering logistics. Maw was later promoted to head of the meeting planning department when the company merged with Ciba-Geigy and became Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Over the years on the islands, she has served on local nonprofit boards, helped with fundraising, and taught at Children’s Christian Formation, the youth group of St. Isabel’s Catholic Church.
